Legal Counsel Jobs Vacancy in Novartis Budapest Jobs Details:
- Adopt an active approach in supporting the organization by providing robust day-to-day legal services, providing clear recommendations - Act as business partner, by providing pro-active, business focused legal solutions, support transactional negotiations with third parties and provide clear recommendations - Develop and maintain legal templates, assist business decision processes highlighting potential legal risks - Assure legal compliance with applicable laws and Novartis policies, guidelines and standards - Actively cooperate with the panel of external law firms retained by Novartis and by regional and global functions and supervise services as needed - Manage legal housekeeping (archiving of contracts, maintenance of SOPs, drafting minutes etc.) - Maintain Contract Management procedure and maintain validity and enforcement of legal SOPs - Monitor new local and EU legislation, analyze laws and regulations affecting the entities, raise the awareness of the organization to new laws - Draft and review policies and procedures, bylaws, resolutions and other documents related to local governance, regulatory, compliance and internal policies. - Represent the group company’s interests in litigation matters. Negotiate, supervise or provide advice regarding settlements of legal disputes - Ensure cross-divisional alignment in legal matters, collaborate within the Region Europe legal function as needed - Ensure proper handling of inspections, audits and data privacy incidents according local laws and internal policies - Conduct legal training and awareness plans; keep records of trainings - Assist Legal Head and participate in management meetings as required, support the Country Compliance Committee and other working groups as needed.
